Indiana Army National Guard: Recruiting and Retention Assistant 

  • Planned, advertised, set-up and ran recruiting events. 
  • Set and conducted appointments with applicants. 
  • Prepared and gave presentations to classes about opportunities in the Army. 
  • Built rapport with applicants while assisting them through the application process.  
  • Led large groups of warriors during Recruit Sustainment Program activities. 
  • Safely operated a government vehicle for thousands of miles without incident.

Camp Shelby, MS: U.S. Army Basic Leadership Course 

  • Took classes on communication, essay writing, public speaking and communication. 
  • Gave a graded presentation as well as a graded field demonstration. 
  • Practiced leading a group through blocks of instruction and practical exercises.  
  • Learned Army regulations and policies for addressing disciplinary issues in a leadership role.

  • Successfully completed the requirements to be granted the MOS 11B Infantrymen.

Fort Lee, VA: Advanced Individual Training - 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic 

  • Studied diesel mechanics as they pertain to wheeled military vehicles.  
  • Learned technical data in an organized top to bottom approach. This included all aspects of vehicles, including brakes, suspension, engine, transmission, fuel systems and more.  
  • Disassembled and reassembled a small engine.  
  • Got hands on experience diagnosing mechanical faults using the Army’s diagnostic MSD V3. 
  • Tested and passed the Military ASE level 1 exam.  
  • Was appointed a student-leadership role over the entire company of more than one hundred and twenty soldiers.

Fort Jackson, SC: Basic Combat Training 

  • Successfully completed all requirements of U.S. Army Basic Combat Training.  
  • Gained experience in short term leadership roles.  
  • Learned how to effectively communicate in stressful environments.
